Let’s be honest – for biking newcomers, terms like flow trail, pump track, or jump line might sound like a foreign language at first. But with every curve you ride and every line you master, it quickly becomes clear: mountain biking in the Ötztal is an unforgettable experience.
The Bike Republic Sölden is a massive MTB area stretching across mountains, valleys, and alpine meadows – an outdoor playground with a perfectly maintained trail network, breathtaking views, and around 60 kilometers of pure biking joy. Flow trails let you glide effortlessly, while jump lines deliver sporty thrills with jumps and berms. Always in sight: glacier views, silent side valleys, or the wide Ötztal basin. Along the trails, you'll find rest spots with loungers for a quick break and around 30 alpine huts and mountain restaurants to recharge.
Bike-In & Bike-Out – Straight from THE SECRET Sölden
From THE SECRET Sölden, just cross the bridge to reach the Gaislachkogl cable car, your gateway to the Bike Republic. Right at the base: “Rollin’”, Tyrol’s largest pump track – ideal for warming up and checking your gear.

Frequent riders should check out the Mountainbike Ticket, which offers unlimited uphill rides with the Gaislachkogl, Giggijoch, Langegg, and Hochsölden-Rotkogl lifts. Note: valid for uphill rides only.
The trail system is shaped by international trail designers. A favorite combo: Gahe, Harbe & Lettn Line – 12 kilometers of playful descent with over 1,000 vertical meters. Flow, rocks, jumps – it’s all there.
Prefer earning your turns? Choose from signposted enduro routes like the climb to Hochsölden or via the “Gletscherexpress” to the Rettenbach Glacier. Descents lead back via a mix of flow lines and classic trails – with plenty of huts for a well-earned break.
The 16 Nature Trails offer something special: alpine paths that have been used for centuries. One highlight: the ride to Rotkogelhütte (2,666 m) – a must for lovers of vast panoramas.
The Bike Republic Sölden is a vibrant, evolving community. At the annual online biker assembly, new trail ideas are presented – and riders can help shape the future of the Bike Republic. Real community spirit!
In addition to “Rollin’,” there’s also Pumptrack Sunny near Hotel Sunny – ideal for kids and beginners. Both facilities offer playful training in turns, waves, and rhythm.
As you explore the Republic, you’ll come across names in the Ötztal dialect: Teäre, Zaahe, Ohn, Troaln – trail names with character. Since 2010, this 900-year-old dialect has even been recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. Ride, learn, enjoy!
