HIGH UP TO A WORLD OF MOUNTAIN HAPPINESS

Visitors wishing to enjoy a beautiful walk as well as climbing some prominent peaks have come to the right place in Sölden, surrounded by 3,000m peaks. Who knows, perhaps you too could become obsessed with ticking off the 3,000m peaks or become an Alpine mountaineer? The Luibiskogel (3,110 m), Ramoljoch (3,426 m), Rotmoosjoch (3,055) and Zirmkogl (3,280 m) await and perhaps one day you might be ready to tackle the Wildspitze, Austria’s second highest mountain at 3,776m. From Sölden alone, there are over 20 routes which lead above the magical 3,000m boundary, some with comfortable sections covered by one of the seven summer mountain railways which you can use free-of-charge with your Ötztal Inside Summer Card. The footpaths which lead to the glaciers are particularly charming and their fascination remains unbroken.

We are happy to advise and help you select a walking route to suit your requirements from the 300 km of marked trails available. A mountain tour full of things to see and admire, a leisurely cable car walk or perhaps you are tempted by a mountain lake or traditional lodge? We would also gladly provide you a mountain guide. In the mountains, it is always a case of: safety first.
